Titans Clinch Series with Shutout against Patrick and Henry
Guilford Tech didn’t light up the scoreboard—but they didn’t need to.
Behind a dominant, lights-out performance on the mound, GTCC edged Patrick & Henry Community College 1–0 in a tight, gritty battle.
The difference came in the third inning when Ashton Fernandez delivered the game’s only RBI, ripping a hard ground ball to right field to bring Elijah Grant home. That single proved to be all the offense GTCC would need.
On the bump, Timothy Barry set the tone with six shutout innings, allowing just five hits while striking out three. Trajan Louis came in to slam the door, tossing three scoreless innings to secure the shutout.
GTCC managed six hits on the day, with multi-hit efforts from Andre Mason and Bryce Meachem, but it was the pitching staff that stole the show—holding Patrick & Henry to seven hits and stranding eight runners.
A low-scoring game, a clutch hit, and a pitching clinic.
